Winemaker’s House
We worked again with Ned Forrest to form physical expressions of the intangible. Revitalizing history, we exposed, chiseled and patinaed concrete to whisper of long years in a loved place. Hand-built steel doors open to murmurs of waxed plaster and hand-hewn wood, as flooring recycled from wine tanks evokes the life’s work that raised the house.

"They’re an excellent team to work with, they have tremendous people, they’re organized and they really take care of the client. They’re very good listeners. The superintendent actually cares about the house as if it were their own, and that comes across in all aspects of their work, the way they handle their employees, the way they supervise their subs, the way they relate to the client. I think it’s unusual and unique.”
