We are currently seeking a qualified Foreman to join our team. This role reports to the General Superintendent, and will be responsible for the following:
• Overall job safety according to Cal/OSHA standards and Cello & Maudru Construction programs.
• Supervision of all Cello & Maudru Construction employees, subcontractors and vendors to ensure both quality and compliance with project requirements as directed by Superintendent
• Assists Superintendent with the scheduling of all inspections with public and private agencies.
• Assists Superintendent in tracking construction schedule through the project.
• Resolves problems as they arise regarding plans, specifications, and conflicts with subcontractors, engineers and architects.
• Assists Superintendent in the review of shop drawings.
• Conducts weekly safety tailgate meetings.
• Tracks, maintains and secures company owned tools at job site.
• Verifies & approves employee timecards.
• Attends required jobsite meetings as directed by Superintendent

Education and Experience:
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in the construction industry in a supervisory role.
• Ground-up new construction experience, preferably with a General Contractor
• Must have a clean driving record and a valid California Drivers’ License
• High School diploma or GED.
• Certified in CPR/First Aid.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Project Engineer

We are currently seeking a qualified Project Engineer to join our team. This role reports to the Chief Operations Officer, and will be responsible for the following:
• Understand and implement C&M’s project management system and software
• Read, understand and communicate plans, specifications, and contracts
• Write, log, and manage requests for information, subcontracts, purchase orders, submittals and change orders
• Recognize, document, and communicate all scope, cost, and contract changes
• Assist with cost projections and tracking
• Participate in project schedule creation and updates
• Send Request for Information (RFIs) to the architect using Prolog
• Send supplemental sketches and responses to RFIs to subcontractors using Prolog
• Post supplemental sketches and responses to RFIs to the field sets of drawings
• Distribute supplemental sketches and responses to RFIs to the Superintendents and Foremen
• Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with submittals:
• Attend and record project meetings. Generate and distribute meeting agendas and minutes
• Help maintain the project schedule:
• Coordinate the delivery and installation of Owner-furnished items
• Assist in the management of the punch list and close-out:

Education and Experience:
• A 4-year degree in construction management (BSCE, BSCM, or BSAE) from an accredited institution is preferred, or equivalent experience
• Two to five years’ experience as a construction Project Engineer
• Field experience, and/or the desire to work in a field environment to help build the job
